Need driving lessons in Port Talbot? Port Talbot is best known to the outside world for its large steel works, built in 1952 by the Steel Company of Wales, (originally called: “Abbey Works”). Although out-of-bounds on driving lessons, the M4 Motorway is also a very prominent feature in the Port Talbot skyline, as it winds its way on the elevated section, built in the 1960s, for about a mile and a half above the main town centre.
Less well known is the fact that parts of west Port Talbot, particularly Baglan, with its huge, fast-moving, multi-lane roundabout, which is equally testing to experienced drivers as novice drivers, are also included in several of the Swansea driving centre test routes. Other driving test routes might take you as far as Aberavon, along Seaway Parade or onto Afan Way, or through Briton Ferry, along Neath Road, towards Neath, and this is why learning to drive with a well-established local driving school like A2Z of Motoring, and having some familiarity with local test routes, can mean the difference between a driving test pass and a fail.
Our local A2Z driving instructors will be happy to collect you from home or work, from virtually anywhere in Port Talbot, including Sandfields, Taibach, Margam, Tonmawr, Goytre and Cwmafan, with local areas slightly further afield, such as Glyncorrwg and Blaengwynfi, being subject to minimum 2 hour driving lesson. So if you want to learn to drive, start now with weekly driving lessons by clicking on the “Check prices” link on this page, or phone us for details of our intensive and semi-intensive driving courses.
